Fluid (was Beer But That Seemed To Upset The Posting Police)

  1. THIS WOULDN'T POST DUE TO DISALLOWED WORDS. I've LOST INTEREST IN THE THREAD NOW AND JUST EXPERIMENTING.

    WORKS?

Just interested in peep's opinions: I've stopped buying from Stroud Brewery as they are greener than a Leprechaun's tadger. They only sell beer in aly cans that a) I doubt the greenness of in comparison to glass and b) I don't enjoy my beer from them. So, I changed to an even closer brewery, Uley. They only sell in 5 litre mini kegs, in which the beer goes flat in about three days. Although, I have more on order, I have cracked. I've just put in an order with Downton, who I was using before as they sell beer in glass bottles. Coincidentally, I am going to Downton tomorrow, anyway, but not to buy beer and carry it all of the way home.

So, I reckon that I am Mr Unreasonable. First of all for wanting my beer to be delivered in glass bottles and secondly, for having the bare-assed cheek to expect an answer from DVLA after doing my, waste-of-time driving assessment two weeks ago. I cannot even have a provisional license now, so I officially count as a child to DVLA - but a child who can buy beer.

  2. Ever thought of joining mumsnet Pezza? You’d fit right in ;)

Now get the 5l, it’s an eve drink so won’t go flat :upyeah:

  3. Beer
    Worked for me P

  4. If I was to drink 5 litres of beer a night than the minikegs would be purfek. As I don't want to they are not. I can't even drink and drive! The drinking is OK except I have now run out until delivery from either Uley or Downton, but I am not allowed to drive as I am not deemed a responsible adult - and I have nothing to drive!

That's put me in a grump and so I'll start to compose a snotty email to my solicitor. Sorry, she is not my solicitor but just represents the interests of the other side, Maybe I should look into getting one!

  5. Have you received a letter saying your banned from driving P

  6. Yes, about 24 months ago. They asked for my license back but that didn't happen. WTF should I post an invalid license back to them? They said I was banned and then expected my cooperation!

Then, I was meant to do the driving assessment and I said that since if I have not driven for two years then I need some practice before the assessment, to make the fail not seem quite so obvious, so they let me have a provisional license. I used to do some practice in an "L" car and the instructor wanted to to book me in for another go the day after the assessment. When I said that I have the assessment in six days, his reaction was that I would fail that and so back to L plates. What he didn't know was that the provisional license was taken away from me when I did the assessment, thereby ensuring that I could no longer drive anything.

That was a fortnight ago. I'm not surprised that I have heard nothing as the DVLA have always been into big payback. They think that I should be made to suffer more as they never agreed with the Police that the accident was not my fault. They got to stick points on the other driver's license and must of been gutted to have not been able to stick points on mine. So they just withdrew it.

It is ironic that nobody thinks that the accident was not my fault. Only the Police.

As thing stands now. I have no driving license, no compensation, with nobody on my side except the Police! I lost my bike, loads of money and have a fecked left leg. After the holiday, I have a difficult situation with my (as in the other side's) solicitor to sort out. Depending on what my brother agreed with her, my instinct says that I should sack her. I should really look at what she has achieved for ne over the past two and a half years. I get bored looking at nothing, though.

And I've run out of beer!

  7. The assessment centre told me that they were nothing to do with the DVLA, yet they were the ones that took and kept my license to send back to the DVLA. They are not independent! I was well and truly done up like a kipper!

  8. There were a couple of characters that I must have put in the "tags" box, by mistake. That was what was objected to, And i thought that it was the beer!!!!

  9. so it wasn't the beer but it probably was the beer then.

  10. Sort of!

  11. I see it’s your birthday today P
