Hello. I have just bought a replacement seat for my 2016 Panigale R, and noticed that there are a number of different part numbers for seats that are fitted to the range of bikes. So, I recommend you check the seat part number before purchase, to be reasonably sure it will fit your bike. The following link should help check the current fitment against the alternative options, which may fit more than one model: https://www.ducatiomaha.com/pages/ducati-oem-parts . Also, if in doubt check the number with a friendly dealer before you finalise the deal. Hope it helps. Tom.
If it helps I bought a standard 899 seat that fitted my 1299 no problem. I do have a DP seat and was tempted to sell but will keep for travkdays
All of the 899/959/199/1299 seats should be interchangeable. Also, there are 2 types of Ducati Performance seats. One is the race seat, and the other is the comfort seat.
Is the performance the same as the R seat, i.e. grippier, or is it like the race seat i.e. higher? The 1299 came standard with the R seat if that helps.
