Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Shaun, Sep 23, 2021.

  1. Just seen this on YouTube.

  2. Good timing I reckon from Chaz. Not on competitive machinery anymore.

Wonder what he will do next. If it was me I’d go world endurance :)

talented chap, impressive wins record as well

  3. Brother in law just bought a Moto3 team???

  4. He's a bit big

  6. I don’t mean to ride, some other role perhaps?

  7. BSB, where I think we might see Sykes next season too?

  8. It's the right time for Chaz, he never really gelled with the V4 and possibly the tyres, plus he had a shoulder injury as I recall which kind of set the scene for this 2020 season. I do think Ducati should have given him another year in the factory team as Rinaldi has underperformed in my opinion.

He hasn't faired any better this season which could be the team/bike and his crash at Barcelona was I guess the last straw.

It's a good shout by Shaun regarding Laverty's Moto3 team, that would be a good move for Chaz he spent a few years in 125's and 250's so I think that would be his best option.

  9. There’s not really many paid seats in bsb. I’m not sure what Chaz’s U.K. track knowledge is like short of Silverstone or Donington.

but it would be great to see ofcourse

  10. I loved seeing him on a supersport bike I have to say, he was awesome on the Triumph, then totally dominant on the Yamaha and had a decent run on the Panigale V2, being probably the closest guy before Stoprack to really get Jonny rattled and disturbed on the way to a title.

    All the best Chaz!

  11. I think not. The age limit in Moto3 is 28. He is 34.

  12. Read my reply above ☝ I didn’t mean as a rider, some other role within the team structure.

  13. Sure sorry, just clarifying that in case anyone thought that the actual piloting was an option.

  14. Yes, I didn't mean as a rider he's too old and too big.

He'd go well into a management role, similar path to Leon Camier.

  15. agreed, but of wishful thinking on my part!
