V4 Probs

  1. New SFV4 - really great bike but …

… stalled twice in town in first 50 miles. Avoided town since…:) no more problems but I recalibrated the tyres/wheels just to be sure.

Engine warning light came on at 150 miles (not flashing). Bike running fine.

Just wondering where the diagnostic port is?

I can’t seem to find one under the riders seat and dealer 250 miles away …

  2. Congrats on the bike, considering one myself, but obviously posts like this aren't encouraging.

The OBD port is[ hidden] under the seat, as shown here (I guess it's not the traditional ODB-II physical port so not recognisable).

Sorry about the issues you're having and hopefully nothing serious and soon sorted. Let us know.

    Cheers.

  3. Thanks that’s really helpful.

I had another look and found it and discovered that in the ‘21 model they’ve changed the diagnostic port from Ducati 4 pin to a new red square 6 pin affair.

I’ll try to find a lead from Lonelec. David

  4. The new red connector is for Euro 5 compliance. You’ll most likely going to need a trip to the dealer tbh.

  5. Thanks for that. Yep, resigning myself to a trip south!

  6. Surely it’s a nice ride to Glasgow? That’s assuming you live in Skye??

  7. It is a great trip, especially early in the morning when the roads are quiet ;)

… just not comfortable riding the bike with an error code I don’t understand tho

  8. I say pin it all the way, it's the only way to be sure

  9. hey @Snips, I got the cable recommended by @nelly and the two error codes read:

O2 sensor circuit low voltage bank 1 sensor 2

… but it still runs (more than) fine, so trying to run it in then will take to dealer for first service and repair

  10. Quick update: bike went to dealer who found several historic faults logged … but nothing current, so after deleting fault codes and a test ride gave it a clean bill of health.

Oil leak from top of the engine fixed too: split breather pipe replaced. David
