After going on a binge of track day videos today why have people got sweat bands on their clutch / brake reservoirs, I am prepared for the roasting
I think its because the brake reservoir on a track bike might leak a little due to the fluid heating up and expanding causing the lid lift & leak. The "sweat band" stops the fluid from dripping/ spraying off onto your visor and paintwork. Apparently red ones also give your bike additional speed...
I did wonder why the fluid caps of my 2004 999 Bipostp were in such a state with the paint lifting off. Anyone know of a sensible UK supply of replacement caps? (I did find a site on line grandado (or similar) but it had the feel of somewhere you send your money and nothing ever arrives).
Where’s the fun in that though, got Chrome covers on my 749 along with the original tatty ones in a box.
