1200 DVT Cutout In V4 Screen

  1. I noticed that the V4 screen had a cutout in it, any thoughts why? I wondered whether it was to equalise pressure which might reduce buffeting off the top of the screen, sort of tempted to get the dremel out!

  2. I think it helps with airflow and equalises the pressure a little behind the screen. A newer pikes peak screen has cut outs as well

  3. Riding a V4, all I can say is that the screen works!! For the first time, and I am on my 5th Multi, I am not looking for a different / better screen, the stock screen is very good.
It is more than just a slot it is angled and curved so not sure a slot would do the job, needs someone with a wind tunnel to test it out :)

  4. Do you think the improvements are down to the cutout or the flaps on the sides?

  5. Very hard to say without a wind tunnel! Probably a bit of both TBH.

  6. I can ride MY V4 with my visor open if I want. Its the first bike I have ever ridden that I can comfortably do that.
