I noticed that the V4 screen had a cutout in it, any thoughts why? I wondered whether it was to equalise pressure which might reduce buffeting off the top of the screen, sort of tempted to get the dremel out!
I think it helps with airflow and equalises the pressure a little behind the screen. A newer pikes peak screen has cut outs as well
Riding a V4, all I can say is that the screen works!! For the first time, and I am on my 5th Multi, I am not looking for a different / better screen, the stock screen is very good. It is more than just a slot it is angled and curved so not sure a slot would do the job, needs someone with a wind tunnel to test it out
I can ride MY V4 with my visor open if I want. Its the first bike I have ever ridden that I can comfortably do that.
