Hi, I've just become the proud owner of a 2007 1098s and would be grateful for any recommendations for a single-sided paddock stand. I've checked out the DP one but £200 seems a little toppy when there are other brands that may do the same job. I've been looking for a nice 1098s and this one is an immaculate one owner bike, sub 5,000 miles with f.s.h. so very happy. Glad to join you all and hoping for a last bit of warm weather before the cold stuff sets in.
I have taken an S out of your title as I thought you were looking for an SS stand before I noticed the 1098
Hi and welcome. No pictures - it never happened! One can often find DP or Gubellini Stands on eBay (or on here even). Harris have a good reputation too.
The links below may help provide some background information on paddock stands from earlier forum discussions: https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/paddock-stands.87919/ . https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/gee-tech-paddock-stands.87584/ . Also, for single sided swinging arms the paddock stand pin size can usually be changed to match the applicable rear axle diameter. The better known makes include: Ducati/F G Gubellini, Harris, Gee-Tech, and if money is no object a Pierobon! Other options can be found via the internet if those mentioned are not suitable. Good luck. Tom.
I have a constand one that i had for my monster 1200r that i'm about to sell. It may fit your bike but would need to check.
second the con stand, i have one for my 848 evo corse se, bought from https://www.motea.com/en/ always have deals on them so just keep looking
Hi and thanks again for the suggestions. Do any of you who use the Constands rear PS also use the front one? I'm thinking about a front and rear set but I'm a bit nervous about the front stand and how the bike is mounted using the brake calipers? Any thoughts on this? https://www.motea.com/en/single-sided-rear-paddock-stand-front-fl-for-ducati-1098-07-08-bk-272249-0
