  1. Don't know if he'd have knocked out George Foreman, when Foreman was in his prime.

  2. Not me, I'm a happy drunk :dizzy::sleeping::sleeping:.

  3. So am I. Happy sober too. Usually…

  4. Footwork. Hand speed. Sheer velocity. Raw power

  5. Buster Douglas.

  6. Tyson's life was on the slide at this point as was his training and tutelage really means nothing all great champions have losses

  7. He was 24 years old.

  8. Was self admittedly in freefall at that point no training, personal strife, drug use had none of the trainers around him that had driven his rise, Tyson never really galvanised the early success he had later but the guy was an absolute handful in arguably one of the best periods of heavyweight the speed, footwork and power was a thing to behold easily sits near the top of heavyweight history

  9. An exciting fighter for sure, but who did he beat? Great fighters can beat great fighters. No one gave Holyfield a chance against Tyson...

  10. His record was no worse or better than his peers Holyfield and Lewis, he didn't avenge his losses like Lewis did though nor did he have success across divisions like Holyfield so will always be viewed with less appreciation when looked back on

We can sit and say who did they fight about vast swathes of fighters considered great when you really pick at records, I think you are being a bit disingenuous with this his rise and talent was something else to witness nobody is saying he was the greatest but he certainly needs recognition for what he was as a fighter

Came up short against the two best he came up against but really was he anywhere near his young self by that point and did he really have the care or determination he had early on

  11. Who did who beat? Tyson? Err, everyone. With consummate ease. Most sensational heavyweight ever. He smashed everyone in his path whilst under good management (Cus D’amato, Bill Cayton).

I don’t think anyone could have lived with Tyson during the relatively short period on the crest of a wave.

  12. Not quite.

  13. Agreed that period he was a wrecking machine and fought his way to the belt

  14. Like George Best and other top sports stars, a career that would have been entirely glorious badly influenced and cut too short. Top of his game no one would have lived with aggression and power

  15. Always good to watch this one. Tyson was obliterated.

  16. All just opinions. mine being Tyson was made for George Foreman.

  17. Holyfield would have hammered Tyson in the 2nd fight. Tyson knew it, and cheated to get the fight stopped.

  18. Thankfully he widely accepted as one of the best so its all immaterial, Lennox was my personal favourite heavyweight he was too good for Tyson at that point but let us not forget Tyson had won and unified at the age 20 a full 3-4 years before Lennox had even started his professional career that is a pretty sensational achievement

  19. Lewis is around a year older. By all accounts Tyson was huge at 13.

  20. He was putting beatings on older and bigger opponents from an early age such a gifted young man, alas too much too early and yes same age as Lennox near enough further highlighting the achievement as Lewis did not pick up a title till he was in his mid twenties
