Many of the 851 and 888 owners will find a few parts hard to find and I got an opportunity to get some "unobtanium" parts scanned and will be looking to get quotes for 3D printing now. PM me if you would be interested in any of these. Thanks to @ducati dad for lending me the SP2/SP3 rear light surround, as these get a bit brittle! Now looking to get as close as possible to the finish of the original and find the right process to try to preserve the Cagiva Logos and part numbers. We have left and right fuse holders and relay covers, Undertray/numberplate holder (as these got "chopped" a lot) and SP2/SP3 brake light surround.
Hello I might well be interested in the rear number plate surround - as you say, they're a bit brittle! Please let me know when you have a price. Thanks Andrew
thanks Chris - I looked at them before but they are US based and I would like to find someone here in the UK to get the parts fast and be able to talk to them about materials.
This guy may be able to help. He's done similar with unobtainium 240z parts and I'm sure much more. https://www.derbyshireadditiveengineering.com/
Hi Sorry to bother you, but did you have any success in printing the rear light surround for an 851 SP3? Regards Andrew
Andrew - my printer has been out of action for a few months, firstly with lack of filament from my preferred vendor and then due to waiting for a new rail from China. Still waiting. I will do a chase and let you know how I get one once I get an update.
