  1. Worth a watch guys - BMW didn’t win for once!

  2. Funny how the results shift when the one who’s in business with a bmw dealer isn’t there

  3. My personal choice, if I had to pay for it myself, would be the Suzuki GSX-R. I have had an R1 and maybe the GSX-R would be a better road bike. Sure the Ducati is better.....but the price...

  4. The less the 44 Teeth guys try to be funny, the more I enjoy their vids. They have a lot that's interesting to say about bikes; they are not comedians.

For that reason, this is [mostly] a really good vid.

  5. The Baron went batshit having a right personal dig at me when I called him out on that a year or so ago on-line, blokes a c*ck of the largest order.

I'll happily watch the 44 Teeth stuff as long as the smarmy pillock is nowhere to be seen. Boothy and Fagan do a good job, hopefully the Baron will move on.

  6. As mentioned in the vid, I'd like to know where I can buy a unused 2020 GSX-R1000R for £11.5k? As long as it's not white.

  7. It's a 'R' as in the standard model not the one with the fancy suspension, and he said a last years model, so probably pre-reg. I'm sure it's do-able.

  8. I agree with this totally, I wouldn't say I have an issue with BVG, He's just a bloke doing his thing and has his own issues, but I think the content is more natural with just those two.

One thing I'll say though.. it show's how they can't really help but let the agenda creep in, if you go back to the S22 Tyre launch, they go on about how the Panigale just 'Doesn't suit Bridgestones, it's been designed on pirelli and the electronics just don't work well with these' yet now it's the miracle tyre...

I've also lost faith after the gushing reviews of the Panigale V2, having then owned one, and then ridden a 959 afterwards, it's really clear to me they were stretching the truth in terms of the merits of the new bike to make content.

  9. It's what all journo's have to do though these days I suppose, there are no real game changing bikes, tyres etc now so I always take what they say with a pinch of salt.

If you're a Kawasaki man are you going to go an buy a V4S because 44 Teeth gave a rave review, probably not.

Easy way to make a living, blatting around on other peoples bikes, tyres and getting paid for it.

  10. Maybe, but he was a bit vague about which model it was. I was looking for a cheap RR for months, and the cheapest I've ever seen a 2020 pre reg was £13.5k. I think they did a test of the 17 plate Suzuki against a BMW a while back, and they rated the GSX-RR higher.

  11. Everyone has an agenda, theres no such thing as an unbiased review.

The BMW is a good bike, albeit a bland souless rocket ship. The Ducati is 5k overpriced for suckers. The GSXR is not pretty but will do 99.9% of everything you want. The Kwak works fine if you rev the nuts of it all the time. The Yamaha is great on track but will annoy the shit out of you on road. The aprilia is a better road bike, but for midgets and will depreciate faster than the rest. The Honda will run forever, is well built but works if you rev it like the kwak.

    Probably.

  13. I know a few TT guys and many years ago now we did a day trip to the IOM, one of the TT guys borrowed a demo RSV4 for the day to take to the island, I was on my Desmo that day.

We did a few laps throughout the day. We stopped at Ramsey had a bag of chips and my mate suggested the rest of us head off over the mountain and he'd "catch up", i.e. I'll give you a head start then chase you down.

Needless to say a few miles later he buzzed by on the RSV4, I basically gave chase the Desmo had the edge in power and clawed back the gap to the RSV4, let's not forget this is a guy who's done 100's of laps around the course... I just thought I'll follow him, he knows where he's going LOL... 160/170 became pretty achievable on some sections, without him towing me along it wouldn't have been the case for sure... If you get a good day and the visibility is there it's an amazing bit of tarmac.

  14. Yep. I ran those rs11’s and they’re shite.

not a patch on a supercorsa.

  15. I just got back from estoril with the gsxr.

Only did 6 sessions in three days as the brakes faded so badly I lost the brakes in to turn one and later on a few of the other turns also. Wasn’t worth the risk. I tried just wobbling around but it was doing my tits in.

What I will say is though. It was like an r1 cup with a few other bikes thrown in.

a few guys had crescent r1’s running 205bhp. There was also ducatis and various other bikes. Nothing touched my Suzuki in the speed trap. I could do the 205bhp r1 race bikes out of the slip stream. The Suzuki is a monster up top. I was hitting 186mph with new rubber in to hitting the braking zone for turn one and mine still weighs a tonne as most of the road bits are still underneath the track fairings. The r1’s were 10mph+ down on me.

The r1’s electronics are loads better though. But equally most trackdays I go to have r1’s broken down. Estoril was no exception.

  16. As for someone saying the RSV4 is for midgets, I was in Wheels to look at a GSX-R1000R. Sat on that, an 1199 and a V4S, seat height wasn't much different. Sat on a RSV4, and the seat was quite a bit higher, like a late R1.

  17. .

I'm still wondering if I should have bought a pre reg one, instead of a 5 year old 1299S. They were a grand cheaper, and with the same tyres ,brakes and tweaked suspension I reckon the Suzuki would ride away from a 1299 out of the corners and on long straights.

  18. I’ve owned a 1299 and the gsxr is faster but the 1299 has much better brakes. There was a 1299 in fast group with us and the gixxer mullered it.

granted the guy wasn’t very quick. But I had no brakes haha.

with a full system and mapping the gixxer is a very quick bike. Just doesn’t have the best electronics or brakes. The brakes are shit.

  19. The rsv is tall but cramped from my experience. It feels tiny. But I don’t think it’s as bad as people say?

  20. Is it just the electronics and hydraulics, or are the calipers and discs rubbish too.
