Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Wassy, Oct 22, 2021.

  1. Interesting translation from Google. :)

"And after the checkered flag I stopped under the grandstand, I pulled my helmet, it was nice "he added.

  2. I thought you suggested a wife swap then with me,;)...but yeah 100% on the edge which's good for us couch potatos.

  3. Hmm to an extent maybe (anyone can have a one off career ending injury etc) 93’s weakness is that shoulder though and not many others have been through what he has with that persistent injury.

Golfers are also all susceptible to back injuries but tiger more susceptible than others (as another example)

  4. I don't think it's just that shoulder or the break, he's had to have surgery on his shoulders prior to this accident... remember Scott Redding patting him on the shoulder and it dislocated?

Trickiest joint in the body also with it's vast range of movement, there were rumours of a 3rd op over winter I wonder if that will happen, I wonder if he's still on antibiotics to fight the infection - maybe the two are linked?

  5. Anyone off to Valencia then?

Long trip for a dead rubber, if i had the ferry booked id spend my time riding in the mountains instead i think!

  6. Moto2 still up for grabs, o know remember is almost there, but anything could happen.

  7. Yup, I go most years it's a fantastic GP to watch regardless of being for a championship, if anything now 2 of the championships have been decided it's gloves off for the last round no need to just bag points to decide a championship. You also see more of the track at Valencia than any other circuit on the calendar (although standing on top of the pit boxes at Philip island you can see quite a bit), which is why I haven't been to Silverstone for years.

It's also Rossi's last GP, I suspect they'll be some BIG celebrations organised by Dorna as a thank-you.

Plus it's literally 30 mins from Valencia and the old town at night full of fans is good night too.

I'm back on the Monday this time, but previously I've stayed for the following years first test of the year where you can see all of the new bikes and riders... best of all it's free entry. I'm not sure if there is a test straight after this year there.

  15. Highlights tonight at 10.15 on itv for the weekend race, i not seen it as yet.

  16. Any pics? Looked amazing on the telly and i admit i was completely jealous of anyone who made the effort to get down there.

  17. Landed back late last night, glorious weather and a brilliant time and a brilliant finale to a great career. I usually take loads of photos/videos but I just wanted to soak up the atmosphere given how big this one was.

I've got a few photos, I was right at the end of pit lane so good for getting some shots as they rode down for practice and the race.

Literally everywhere you looked there was someone with some VR46 merchandise, I've never seen so much so much yellow. The crowd were in full affect and Valencia was busy with fans... it was nice to see.

It did feel to me like the end of an era though, I'm not sure we have anyone as big as Vale now and I do wonder what 2022 will be like, I think the crowd realised this also at the end after the celebrations.
