Damper Rebuild/restore

Discussion in 'Suspension help' started by Petsmith, Oct 28, 2021.

  1. I have just restored a OEM Showa rear damper from a 916 and I'm about to do another one. I toying with the idea of doing a "how to" video. Strip down, repair, re-finish, rebuild. Is that of interest to anyone or am I wasting my time?
Here is one I'm about to start. 2021_10_28_10.36.06~2.jpg

  2. “How To’s” are definitely not a waste of time and the ‘after’ looks great. I’d stick a video in “Builds and Projects”. Andy

  7. I have uploaded a video showing how to strip a damper down onto YouTube. I warn you, it's quite long and detailed. If you wanted a quick 5 minute video, this isn't for you. Here is the link.
