Rain soaked invasion to cafe on beach at Sheringham GS&KTM enjoying the view! Breakfast was very good at the Submarine cafe
100+ mile round trip for breakfast next to the Kennet and Avon canal not far from Marlborough this morning with a few friends, followed by an hour cleaning the Scrambler and Multistrada with my Worx power wand. @Nasher rocked up to collect some bits and had a chat. Now waiting to go out for dinner with more friends at 7pm. Life is just so full Andy
Raising a glass to my friend and late father in law who passed away 2 years ago this evening. Cheers Mel
Rideout with one of my biking meetup groups into the margins of South Wales; Usk, Abergavenny and the marvelous Skenfrith Road back to Ross-on-Wye. Wet in parts with filth on the roads so the Mutley is in need of another deep clean but a great day with some lovely people. A member of our group joined us unannounced for the last bit, had picked up a new bike on Saturday, an MTS 1260S so hopefully he'll be joining us here soon. Had a newbie to my own meetup group as pillion, she was a complete natural and was genuinely fully at ease with a safe yet enthiastic pace which was refreshing. Tea and cake stops were at two places new to me,this group keeps surprising me with locations and a few new roads in an area I thought I knew well Both of these are highly recommended if you're in the area: The National Dive Centre just north of Chepstow on the A48. Our ride leader posted last night on the meetup thread calling it the National Dave Centre, a typo, think that name will stick The other place was a new bikers cafe just south of Abergavenny, on the A4042, called The Baffle Haus.
Trip out yesterday to the New Mills beer trail to celebrate a friends birthday. Did a bit of a walk between pubs. Feeling slow today!
Do you use Waze sat Nav, it’ll take you down the least expected roads which can be both good and bad!
I was going to the Ardingly autojumble today, but forget it as it's pissing down and walking around in this weather what's the point.
No, just the cars satnav. I’ve no idea why it chose the route it did. It was hairy when we came across cars wanting to come past from the other direction. And there was a fair bit of cobbled roads going on in places too
That looks very similar to Stoney Cove where I've dived in the past. There really is something to be said for having warm showers readily available after a dive to stand under whilst stripping out of your wetsuit. None of this bouncing about in a boat for 1/2hr afterwards getting cold then changing on a beach!
Yep, probably about the same for me. I don't suppose anyone uses Wetsuits for that type of thing any more, probably 'Softie' Drysuits all round. The days of Roughy Toughy divers appears to have passed.
