V4 Just Picked Up A V4s Full

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Macca, Nov 6, 2021.

  1. For some reason I've avoided considering owning a Multistrada for decades and maybe it took for me to become a creaky old fart to realise where I've mistepped. Anyway I've had a few Adv /upright road bikes over the years and after my last effort at owning a stupidly fast road bike (H2 SX SE) I've come to realise that for any kind of distance riding these days I need the bars to be higher than (even raised) clip ons. So after making a rapid fek I need to change decision last Saturday I now own a V4S Full and the H2SX SE is gone. IMG_3678.jpg . So far I've only covered 50odd miles and need to run it in (arrggh 5 K rpm limit for 600 miles!) but my burning stuck vertebrates are relaxing their grip on the adjacent nerve endings already. The missus will also (hopefully) be happier as the pillion seat/peg ergos appear to be more relaxed than the H2SX so saving her hockey knee from too static bend grief alongside having her butt warmed by the heated seat.

  7. Eating a banana lol

  8. just change the color and it's no longer looking "so angry". I have a Arctic White 1260 and it's easily the "standout" amongst the typical Ducati crowd!!!!!

  9. That’s because it’s the wrong colour :p

  10. White Ducatis remind me of tarts handbags and don’t get me started on Matt paint finish.

  11. Just in case any one is interested the Front Lower silver panels on the V4 can be swapped out for red ones - cost me £120 for both panels.
That way the wife didn't notice that the 1260 had gone and a V4S had arrived :)

  12. Think I might put a big No 1 on the side of my PP 1260 and then get a v4 PP when she’s at work one day.

  13. That could backfire if she doesn't see you apply the No1 and then thinks your old bike is a new one :joy:

  14. Was that at the dealers?

  15. I wish people would stop posting V4. It keeps catching my attention. Can multi owners please prefix (*ugly bastard) V4. Then Panigale V4 owners like me can just keep scrolling. Thanks :upyeah:

  17. Taken on the day I picked it up in June.

Spot the differences - well there are quite a few :)

Yes the panels were swapped at the dealers but swapping them is very easy.

  18. I didn’t explain myself properly, I was asking if they came from the dealers rather than getting them repainted or from an aftermarket supplier. Thanks for posting the photos

  19. I think they are the V4S Sport side covers.

  20. The red side panels were Ducati supplied, as above they are from the V4S Sport version. I asked for them from new and have the "spare" silver panels at home. Just looks better in all red IMO :).
