Diavel Diavel Lamborghini - How Much?

Discussion in 'Diavel & XDiavel' started by El Toro, Nov 11, 2021.

  1. Silly money. I have priced up a few motorcycles recently, from Tracer 900 up to the new PP. Prices have gone mad. In Euros, fully loaded R1250gs, 25,000 Ducati PP 30,500. Tracer with panniers and heated grips nearly 16,000. Crazy.
A far cry from buying my first new bike in 2008. An FZ1s, £6200 otr. (import) crazy cheap compared to now.
Best value for me might be the new Suzuki Gsx1000gt. Around 15k. Cant imagine it needing more than a rear shock upgrade. But, meh, inline 4s.

The only plus side is the value of my two used bikes is fairly high.

Warranty is nice to have, but the difference in price to change, would pay for another used bike.

  2. Their pricing is faintly appalling considering how much car you get for the same money. Just in the amount of material used etc etc; metal, glass, cabling, seat foam, cup holders:D

  3. Tbh, it is probably the lack of cup holders that makes me think they are bad value. Rubbish for McDs drivethru.

  4. Couldn't "rent" a bike on PCP back then (or it was certainly very much in its infancy in the bike market?), that's why. PCP has changed buying a bike to buying the depreciation, what you pay now each month to rent the thing would have bought you it not that many years ago?

  5. As much as I agree the prices have gone mental the SFSP is hardly just a paint job. The wheels alone cost £7k
