Oem Ducati Spares - Where Online?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Smurfbud, Oct 1, 2021.

  1. Where are you guys buying your Ducati spares online?
I have searched tinternet and cant seem to find an OEM outlet apart from MSP based in The Netherlands !!
There must be a UK online spares outlet surely...... I am after a pair of mirror mounting gaskets - part No. 78811421A ....
Thanks in advance for any pointers...

  2. Not sure about online, but make a phone call to any dealer and they'll put in the post for you.

  3. Yeah, that's always an option XH558, cheers

    That's great Sprocker - thanks....

  4. Give your dealer a call. From experience, most of the online sources tend to be higher prices... online, doesn't mean cheaper or that they have stock.

  6. I understand that the dealers are helpful and can be cheaper but I do think there is a market for a UK based online parts company.

Its much easier to order some parts from your phone at 8pm than mess about trying to call dealers during the day from work.

  8. I WhatsApp my dealer's parts department and what I want arrives. Can't get simpler than that. Andy

  9. Thanks Andy - my point was that you can order online anytime, rather than call a dealer.

  10. I order all of my stuff through MSP, always excellent service

  11. My dealer normally does a 10% discount, and delivers to my house. That’s good enough for me. I like keeping them in business!

  12. Or you offering Garibaldi biscuits or perhaps the wife has a very low cut dress on display.

  13. I ended up using SeaStar in Norwich .... added some clothing that I wanted to get the £100 free delivery option, otherwise £10 p&p for £3 parts !

I guess ordering online sometimes has its drawbacks.... however my nearest Ducati stealer is 20+ miles away so it would cost me that in fuel ..... thanks for the replies guys... most helpful...

  14. Another vote for Craig and Luke at Moto Rapido. Not my most local dealer by any means, but so helpful, will do everything they can to get your parts to you asap (just ordered more parts today, need the pinion gear retaining plate in time for the weekend, he's going to stick it in the post FOC, then just charge me whatever the follow-on parts cost, just a few quid). They also offer a WhatsApp facility if you so choose.

  15. I ordered a load of small parts from M & S Motorcycles in Newcastle on the Wednesday. They were on order from Italy and were ready for collection on the Friday... now that's quick service for you....:upyeah:

  16. I’ve tried using MSP. Utterly pointless. No response to emails and expected delivery times just move back. Next time I’ll just take the time off work and go to the dealer in person.

  17. I wasn’t complaining about the price. If I didn’t like it I wouldn’t have ordered. I was complaining about the service.
