  2. Yep. I used to live opposite a house full of them in Windsor. I thank my lucky stars I got on well with them and as I was a 19 year old musician at the time, I probably matched them decibel for decibel in the amount of racket they created. I remember one Friday night hearing drunken cheers and intermittent thuds so I looked out of my window to see that they'd painted a 3ft wide dartboard on their front door and were throwing axes at it. o_O

@broke is right though. We probably all belong to some sort of biking tribe to some extent. No man is an island and all that. It just depends what particular band of bell ends we have most affinity with.

  3. That was the Windsor chapter then?
Rumour has it they lost their house over a legal technicality.

  4. Don't nod at them, you'll feel much better about yourself.
They wouldn't expect you to anyway.

  5. My brother is on his second Harley, I know, I know, I should disown him but what can you do? The first was a proper pansies bike, a street 750. A 750 cc producing about 4hp, impressive. This new one is a something Glide? A 1700 odd cc producing about 12 hp, again impressive. He hasn’t gone for the chaps but does wear an open faced helmet with shades.

A chap I worked with reckoned if you made an engine out of a pallet of wood it would be more powerful than a Harley!

However, redemption. He has bought a Triumph 1050ST Sprint on which he came with us down the the Pyrenees, he also has an 80s Honda 250 (not wet dream) which he’s restored, so he’s not all bad!

  8. I greatly disagree, if you abandon this age old custom, you may as well buy a “HARLEY”, pish! and bolderdash !
