Discussion in 'Rideouts & Events' started by Chris, Jun 30, 2013.

  1. Have a couple for me @Chris as i'm cutting and fitting floorboards today, and yes i've pulled the back out again...need to work on the core muscles.

  2. Sorry to hear that Pete.. you and Anthony now.. luckily "got away" with mine from yesterday although have taken measures. Brief report to follow.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  3. Sorry no never managed to get down there last time and tomorrow the weather is looking pants so far :( Rain forcast all morning tomorrow round here. Diavel 1260S.

  4. Had to spend the afternoon watching family and friends pretend they were Torvill and Dean at Hampton Court... less like Dancing on Ice and more like Tag Wrestling featuring Laurel and Hardy if you ask me! :joy:

I didn’t take many pictures, mainly because I was too busy talking! Was a really good meeting and I think everyone was pleased to be out in the sunshine. Best bit was the ride to the Fairmile in Cobham with two Johns, Ben, Tim and Andy. I had fish and chips and peas, bit overpriced for the quantity but could not fault the quality, plus I didn’t have to pay!
Cannot believe the pump Contractors are still hijacking the car park, it must be almost two years now.

  6. Hey based on what i know about yours, mine's just a bruise compared to yours, anyway i've been in a horizontal position watching that redhead bird in that black biker jacket walking around Norwich and Cheltenham.....so thinking very upright at the minute.;)

  7. I watched that (the Cheltenham one). If I'd known she was here I'd have jumped her...

Pittville Park is a pleasant place, like to while away an hour or two reading beside the lake. But I read too much Viz to be able to take the Pump Room seriously.

  8. Doesn't time fly. I was supposedly going to make that one, I recall. Yet I've spent the last week or so not even going to the garage, waiting for the snow. If anything in this land's a waste of space it's the weather service!

  9. Next time S - I can relate to your time-warping, i'm doing a lot of it myself but if you make a date an absolute priority, put it in the calendar, write it down in large print on a scrap of paper where you will see it, then it'll be "alright on the night". :sun:

  10. Put appointments in your 'phone calendar, it will bleep, buzz and generally drive you mad so you won't forget!

  11. I would Jez, I would, but mine is overcomplicated and so at risk of meeting Sister sledge-hammer at times, i.e. - best not go there.

  12. From Hampshire, Guildford/Dorking was closer than London. From here I reckon it's probably about the same as London, i.e. 100 miles/200 mile round trip.

In my early-twenties I stood in front of a gas fire for three hours before I stopped shivering after about a 60 mile round trip. Coming back I could barely control the bike I was shaking so violently. Today, despite having warmer clothing (though not waterproof), I'm not sure it would be wise setting out amid warnings of arctic cold. And not knowing what's at the other end.

Well Billy no mates here, finally made it as an accident had closed the main road, I’m not surprised as roads treacherous. Peter was here earlier on his BMW :) but no other bikers and just a few classic English cars

  16. 605E5826-C5BE-4555-9534-8D7353FA6858.jpeg It is! A really lovely bacon baguette and sad to say much better than the River View effort for the same money.

I’ll give this place 10 out of 10, and will certainly be coming again.
