My battery is not holding charge for more than a day or two and after leaving it on charge overnight the LEDs on my charger still show "charging" not "maintaining" which leads me to suspect I am going to have to shell out for a new Battery. My question to the panel is, do I head down to MotoRapido and give them £60+ of my finest pounds for a genuine Ducati part or do I go down the Online route and spend £40 ish on a Yuasa or £55 on a Gel battery?
Hi, I went for an AGM Motobatt from mad4bikes.co.uk last October. I find it easier to crank the bike than the old battery I had. It seem to keep its charge, but anything longer than 5 days I've used a battery tender (just to be sure I had a battery to use when I came back from hols). Slightly heavier than the OEM batt I think but imo it's negligible.
never used above as have been a Yuasa man for years but does look good :- Battery CB16AL-A2 YB16AL-A2 Motobatt AGM Sealed Batteries Ducati ST 2 944cc 96-00
