Hi, Any help to diagnose and remedy the ECU issues with my new-to-me 2007 Multistrada 1100DS would be very welcome ! Bike is standard - airbox, exhaust, cat etc. good service history, all original keys present, nothing appears to have been messed with and everything seems in good condition for 22k miles. The EML is on and dash shows fault code 6.0. The bike starts every time and runs fine. Possibly one or both of the cylinders may be a bit soft on spark, heard in the exhaust as a light misfire and occasionally as a hesitancy to pick up from low revs, though that could be the cold running conditions I tried it in The engine sometimes just stops running randomly, after anything from a few seconds to maybe half an hour running time Bike always starts up again immediately on the button and runs ok for a further random amount of time. I have also noticed that when turning the ignition on, the dash reads 1000. ( I thought it should read 1100) and that after the engine stops from the fault, the dash setting for MPH is lost and it reverts to KPH. Thanks
The dash will revert to kph if the battery bis disconnected. Maybe you have an intermittent supply to the dash which is causing the bike to cut out.
