5:30pm Weds night, while I was in the house, 3 hooded figures (neighbours Ring bell caught them) walked into my garage & wheeled my bike away. It was covered & had a disk lock fitted but it’s all gone. I have no idea how they did this and how I didn’t hear anything or anybody else in our street didn’t see anything at that time of day either. Police just took details & asked for the footage. Didn’t sleep at all on Weds night. Literally couldn’t clear my mind. Last night a bit better, I’m just angry & a bit shocked

Several years back, was woken by our dog barking about 2am, looked out the window could see light on in our car, opened door let dog go, but like yourself, it was several weeks before we could settle, every noise I'd be up. Really with you on this, it's fukin shit.
Symon, so disappointed to hear this and genuinely feel your pain. It's one of those things I'm sure most, if not all of us, are concerned about, no matter how much care we take with securing our bikes and other valuable property. There remain and always will be, totally uncaring scum around who believe it is their modus operandi in life, to take things that don't belong to them, in order to fuel their own needs/motivation in their mis-directed, mis-placed, deluded situations. Added to which if you had used it for home defence you you have been banged up for a long time. Unlike the US the perps here have better legal protection than their victims. Just ask Tony Martin.
I speak from experience here, having previously had an Audi A6 less than 3 months old, stolen from our driveway. The perpetrators, who were never caught by the way, even with forensic evidence a plenty available within our home, as they gained access via breaking a front window, came in, took the house + car keys, my wallet and numerous other items, from the kitchen, then drove the car off, discarding stuff as they drove along the main road, which we found whilst out looking. My wife said after the event she actually heard some strange noises downstairs, but didn't want to wake me, because she knew what I would have done! The Police, for what they were worth, agreed that she was right not to have alerted me, due to what the thieves might have done......... We sold the house within 12 months of that event and pretty much ever since, until more recently, I've slept with a baseball bat under the bed, along with car keys, etc. The car was also never recovered and TBH with you, I don't think I would have ever wanted it back after the scum had sat in it, driven it probably literally 'like they stole it' and abused it to suit their own aims.
Yeah me too. I would’ve done for sure if they started it, but as far as I can tell between the three of them, they’ve lifted the front wheel and just wheeled it out of the garage. They stole my helmet too that was hanging on the wall.
Sorry to hear of the robbery Symon, from personal experience of over 10 years ago when my 848 was stolen during daylight hours, it brings with it many emotions that can be very unpleasant and for a short while almost overwhelming. I still have moments of seeking revenge on the bastar that stole my bike, luckily, the anxiety, insecurity and feeling of privacy invasion will lessen quite quickly for you and family. It might however, leave you with a suspicious outlook on anyone who appears to be 'casing' the area. Good luck with the insurance claim. I hope they process it quickly.
It isn’t illegal to shorten a shotgun but there is a lower limit of the shortening depending on the type. However an unlicensed shotgun is illegal, so a yes no situation. I find it perfectly acceptable the way things with regards to firearms in the U.K., as I don’t live in the USA I’ll leave to them to decide what works for them. We may both speak English but that’s about where all the confusion starts.
