I'll be installing an MT940 dash with front wheel speed sensor to my 996 at the weekend. Its been calibrated to use the brake disc bolts for its signal pick up so no pick up ring is required, can i use stainless bolts or does it have to be the standard material bolts? Ta
Stainless are not magnetic so they are unlikely to be read by an inductive sensor ... so stick with standard steel bolts.
Thought that would be the case, cheers antonye. Does anyone know of a supplier for the bolts other than Ducati being £6 each?

The ones on my 748 were M8 x 16 iirc, and don't forget you need a low-profile head too. 16mm is the length of thread excluding the height of the cap itself. Something like this should do the trick - 20x M8x16 for a fiver. M8 Low Cap Head Socket Screw Allen Bolt Steel Grade 10.9 Pks of 10, 20, 50 | eBay
