Help Needed - Which Forks Will Fit A 1997 M600?

Discussion in 'Suspension help' started by Jim Harrison, Jan 24, 2022.

  1. My M600 1997 has the cheap unadjustable Marzocchis which are now pitted and need rechroming. However the stanchions are bonded into the castings and one of the main professional fork repairing companies have had a go and can't separate them. So I'm looking for new forks. Does anyone know of a (fairly) drop in replacement - the key measurements are -
    Overall length 755mm
    Stanchion diameter 40mm
    Dia at top clamp 50mm
    Dia at lower clamp 54mm
    Brake calliper hole pitch 40mm
    Mudguard hole mount pitch 40mm
    Axle hole dia 25mm
Ideally I'd like to get away with keeping the same brake calliper, axle, mudguard and front wheel!
Any ideas of what might fit?

    Thanks

    James

  2. PS thanks for the previous answers on my previous post on this re the 750 Monster Showas - can anyone confirm that the brake calliper spacing is 40mm on these please? And is that the GD0051-50 version?

Or should I just go for a newer fork with 65mm spacing on the callipers and get a new calliper (e.g. maybe 750SS forks or something from a later Monster) - or does that involve a load of extra pain to get everything else to work?
