Front Brake Disc Offset/bolt Pattern

  1. As I understand it, in the simplest of terms and ignoring some other detail:

Up to around the mid 2000s most Ducatis had front brake discs of 320mm OD, offset @9mm(depending on how you measure it) and 6 bolt mounting.
    ie my 2003 1000SS and 2004 M1000.

After the mid 2000s most had 320mm OD, offset @15mm(depending on how you measure it) and 5 bolt mounting.
    ie my 2005 999.

Now the point of my ramble above.
Was there a bike fitted with a mid way disc?
    320mm OD
    15mm Offset
But with a 6 Bolt mounting.

    Thanks

  5. Brilliant - I won't ask.

Thank again Andy, what I needed was a starting point.

  8. Iirc it was the fork bottom not the caliper that changed the offset
the 749/999 (and 998s) calipers are a straight bolt on upgrade to bikes with the goldline (p32/34) calipers with 10mm rotor offset
