1200 Wiring In Tomtom Rider 550 Satnav

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Webby, Apr 13, 2022.

  1. I am looking to wire my TomTom into the switched circuit rather than straight onto the battery. I have a 2021 950S.

I know that there is a spare wire somewhere but cannot for the life of me find it.

    Any ideas or pointers?

  2. On the V4 its on the right hand side front cockpit , under the trim cover at the back of the din plug , may be similar ....

  3. If similar to the 1260 MTS then there are two trailing leads under the rear part of black fairing infill panel that has DUCATI on it (#9). You'll need to pop #10 off first, unscrew the two screws and slide the panel forwards to unhook it at the front. The thinner one of the trialing leads, with a plugged in pig-tail that has it's end heat shrinked, is the GPS feed. Solder your wires to the unplugged pig-tail observing polarity.

Making the assumption here that the 950 is the same as the 1260 in this regard. Good luck!

This is an ignition switched 12v power source.

  4. As you sit on the bike, it's on the left, under the infill panel. There's a plug in connector there. Do a search on here as this has been covered before and there are pictures.

  5. If you want to get the rubber off the pigtail wires just leave it in boiling water for about 3 mins and you can pull them out

  6. It's the top one ... [IMG]

  7. Ok that is brilliant thank you.

  8. Same on Multi V4, My dealer gave me the connector on the other end

  9. It wasn't included and plugged into the loom like the 1260/1200? Maybe the Audi bean counters have called a halt to Ducati's massive generosity...

  10. surprisingly no!
