My new to me 749R arrives tomorrow so i'll flood the forum with pics when it does. However its well overdue belts and a service(only 700 miles old). I'm based in lincoln. So far I can think of: Geoff at G-tech Italia Moto Lincoln Where else should I be thinking about? Its going to be an expensive month it seems MOT Service/belts Battery Tyres..... just need to see what these are like as they might have to wait a month or two, plans are to fit some Rosso Corsa's on them.
Italia Moto for the service then Mark at BSD Peterborough for a dyno and fiddle if you still need it. Sort Dyno run out after the service. As an alternative, Neil at Cornerspeed in Sutton in Ashfield can do service and dyno all in house. Cornerspeed are a Ducati approved service centre. Phone a couple up, ask for advice and typical costs. Using either of the above would be a good move. Heard good things about Gtec Performance near Leicester, but, not had any first hand experience of them.
Well i've had a ring around, I got a slightly better feeling from Geoff at G-tech than the others, Italia moto were very vague with price, for a straight oil/fliter/belts they said £3-400, so I asked which end then they came back and said about £380 like they plucked the number up from the sky. Corner speed were about £350 Geoff was straight, oil/filters/brake and clutch fluid/brake fluid/throttle balance-sync/diagnostic check/belts(obviously cam timing set). £385, reading a few reviews I think he'll be getting my cash, he'll also drop me off at the train station. Does this sound about right?
