How Long/ Years A Ducati Owner?

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Carr01, Apr 18, 2022.

  1. As the title suggests how many years have you been brand loyal?

  2. 27 (28 in July).
First one was a '93 900SS K862 BOA bought (private sale) from a Gent in Ashby de la Zouch.
Also owned Suzuki, Honda & Aprilia in that time but always had a 900SS or 916 or both.

  3. Since March 2014, before that if it wasn't Japanese i wasn't interested.

  4. 2004 bought brand knew 749, back to the fold in 2016 with 900 superlight & 916 2019. Always wanted one since about 1988.

  5. 1999,23 years, bought a 600ss as my first bike. Had it a year and moved onto a firestorm. Then many years of Japanese and triumph.
Had a monster a few years ago and bought back my first ever bike three years ago. Now have three bikes, all Ducati, I think I'll always have a Ducati in the garage from now on.

  6. About 18 years

M900 Monster - I believe it was a newly opened Moto Rapido’s first bike sale, still got it
M1000 DS - ex Tim Maccabee company bike, loads of goodies, regret selling that
Fuglystrada 1000 - great engine, questionable look, never really gelled with it
    Monster 1200R - bloody epic!

  7. First Ducati was a 996 in 2005 ish.

  8. I’m old! 250 single in 1975 Couple of other singles. All sorts of old British stuff, Japanese, German, Spanish, Italian odd balls, Laverda, Bennelli Sei. 900ss,916,748, modernish Triumphs, BMW, Hondas, Kawasaki. Down to two bikes Ducati fugley and a GSA. Never had a blind allegiance to one marque. Most sports bikes are just too small for my frame! Full license since October 1975 so 47 years this year. One endorsement for no rear L plate in1974 on a Puch maxi! Clean since. Cameras will probably get me in our wonderful CCTV era. Days of getting a severe bollicking for rapid progress long gone. Matrons just arrived to tuck me in! Night night.

  14. Since Aug 2012. Had 8 since then. :)

  15. I bought a 250 Mk III in a box in 1977, took me a year to rebuild it and might have had a negative impact on my "O" level results.....Had a Le Mans then started again with 851, 888, 748, 899 etc...

  16. 22 years and counting

  17. 2000, bought my first - a 750ss then progressed through 900ssIE, 999S Mono (yellow), brief flirt with a RSV4 Factory and then got my 1198S, thinking about chopping it for a 1299 Pani this year though.

  18. I got my dizzy from Ashby!!!
