  1. A very good and close hand clean is recommended. its then you find issues

  2. Tbh the bikes been a naked for last few weeks while I complete work on it. Can't wait for fairings to go back on, but atm they'll get a nice polish while off

  3. We always take a socket set, some gaffer tape, some cable ties and some bin bags.
Never use any of it, just nice to know it's there.

  4. we've got a mate coming along in his car so tbf its gonna be stacked with tools

  5. Revcounter dropping out is usually the big loom plug.

  6. which one specifically? Down the left handside?

soldered in a 1098 starter solenoid. worked a treat and no chance of it accidentally slipping out

  7. Believe it's under the mid fairing on the throttle side. Pretty much everything goes through it.

  8. just a bump on this, the random tach dropping didnt make too much of a diff in grand scheme. the trip went without a hitch and the bike didnt miss a beat over 1100 miles.

but now i look at it and am a little bit sad at its state. so I think its going to be a full tear down and powder coat and rebuild.

with some fresh fairings as well.
