848 sag settings

  1. Hi,

Can anybody tell me what rider sag measurements I should be checking for / aiming for as a base setting on my 848?
    Thanks

  2. Is it not in the handbook? When I get home I'll have a look on my setting sheet from when Colin did it. I weigh about 13st.

  3. That would be great thanks, I've never seen anything in the hand book. I weigh about the same.

  4. If this makes sense, on the sheet he did its 22mm front, 8mm rear. Not sure if that's rider or static

  5. Hi thanks, based on those numbers I think it must be static. Which model 848 do you have and are you running standard springs?

  6. Actually may it is rider sag

  7. If it is its racer setting and at that borderline too hard

    Rider sag
    front 30-40
    rear 10-25

depending on track or road set up

  8. 38f 28r Rider sag for me. Front static is 15mm can't remember rear.
Track rod adjusted about 2mm longer than oem to compensate for lost ride height.

  9. It's just road setting everything is standard just now I'd like the bike to turn a bit quicker so I'm expecting to raise the rear once I've fitted a ride height adjuster. I was a clip on u tube with a guy measuring sag on an 848 with different rider weights he suggests 30mm back and front as starting point.

    Thanks for the info

  10. The setting you have looks like what I'm aiming for in the future looks like you've dropped the front a bit.
