Taken off my Pikes Peak before I took delivery, so unused, as I had a gold DID chain fitted. This is a standard DID chain. I understand that it’s longer than the chain for the regular V4, but you can remove any extra links. I’ll do it for £60 including postage, which is a significant saving over new.
IMO, you are trying to sell something to people who already know that the original chain sourced by Ducati from DID isn't anodised and rusts from the moment it sees water. Cheap as it is (and £60 is cheap) there is little appeal. Andy
They only rust if you don’t look after them, as plenty of owners don’t upgrade. Tbh, I have no use for it, hence the make an offer post. If someone wants a cheap backup, this is it.
Assume this is 530 chain... how many links and is a soft link included? Having just replaced my chain I'm not interested but a chain is a chain and not specific to just one bike. Giving the spec/details may widen the appeal and get it sold.
V4 Multleys use a 525 124 link chain. Pee Pee appears to use 126 links Extract from V4S user manual pg 346 Drive chain from gearbox to rear wheel. Make: DID Type: 525 HV3KAI Links: 124 And same from V4PeePee user manual pg 343 Drive chain from gearbox to rear wheel. Make: DID Type: 525 HV3–KAI Links: 126
I popped in to the dealer today and was going to post exactly that! This doesn’t have the soft link, so you’ll need to buy one. With that in mind I’ll do this for £40 posted.
Handy for an emergency chain for a big trip! I've used the company below for DID master links. https://www.24mx.co.uk/
