Just an anecdote received by WhatsApp from my friend this afternoon…… “Well there’s some strange things happen when you buy a Ducati, but I didn’t think this would happen. 3 missed calls today from a +39 dialling code which I ignored because I thought it was a scam! Fourth time I answered, it was Claudio’s personal assistant to firstly confirm my personal details, then thank me for my business buying 4 multi’s and the fact that the 5th one I bought is a PP. Following 5/10 minute chat she told me they’re sending me a signed limited edition model of my PP signed by Claudio. It will sent out in the post over the next few days. Result! Goes to show sometimes these calls are worth taking “
Same here ... although I did get a personalised calendar this year Perhaps you need to buy 4 of the same model before you’re recognised by Ducati, must try harder..
Actually I did get a numbered model of my Monster Anniversario, must have missed or ignored the phone call..
Has anyone found a decent company for carbon parts, that match the Ducati weave? I’ve ordered some carbon winglets from Vulturebike, which should arrive next week at some point. I quite fancy a carbon chain guard, and a few other bits, but want the weave to match, so wondered who else is doing carbon specifically for the PP.
I’ve bought a couple of bits from both Vultirebike and CNC Racing…. Both match well and fit well. I also bought a carbon nose fairing from Maxicarbon which was pretty raw looking and need a bit of modification to fit properly… came up ok after a bit of wax/polishing.
That’s good to know. I did email Vulturebike to check the weave, and they confirmed it will match, but there’s always a niggling doubt, until it arrives.
First service has been done, the bike has been collected after having the paint correction and ppf applied, so I’m looking forward to getting it back next week and unleashing the full power.
