Fairings Holder Value Question

  1. Good evening Chaps!

Friend of mine who likes rare collectible Ducati racing items is contemplating the purchase of this Ducati Performance by Pierobon fairing holder. Looks like the real deal.

Anyone knows what kind of €€/££/$$these are fetching these days? How much would you be willing to spend for one of these, should you be looking for one?

    Cheers!
    G

  2. Last one I saw was going for €600 from a friend of mine in Italy.

  3. They are pretty rare, but fundamentally with "unusual" things like this, it's what the market would stand. I am not sure what model this is for as the only ones I have ever seen were for 748/998 models. I know Pierobon used to sell them separately and not as a Ducati Performance item. I assume Ducati put some sort of premium on them when they were made just because they had a DP sticker.

I have Pierbon front and rear stands for my bike but they are not marked as DP products, they do have serial numbers on them though.

  4. @Red998, you think the one featured in the pics above is not for a 998?

  5. Ii think I sold my 999 version for about 250 euros but that was about 5 years ago +/-

  6. It does look like it to me, but I haven't seen that many so I couldn't say definitively. I know they were pretty expensive when they were sold new and I imagine most were sold to race teams.

  7. The next thing to do is get it on scrapyard challenge and install an engine / front wheels, hey presto you've a motorbike.
