Sf 1098s Track Day: Termi Noise & Db Killers

Discussion in 'Streetfighter' started by Mr.Incredible, May 19, 2022.

  1. Hello

I have a TD booked (Mallory) and am concerned my slip-on Termis may fail the static 105db noise test.

Has anyone had theirs tested and if so can they give a db rating? The last Ducati I had on track was a 900SS with straight-through cans, and that was 105.5db.

Otherwise I guess I'll need to buy and fit some db killers. Thanks

  2. IMO, based on tracking my 1098R with a 70mm Termignoni system, get yourself some baffles because it will be a close call, especially if it’s warm. No idea why but my bike was always quieter in the wet. Andy

  3. Thanks @Android853sp - will try and buy some db killers to be on the safe side.

  4. You sure it’s 105db? Last time I was there it was 103. Either way baffles essential. Enjoy.

  5. Weather conditions make a difference apparently. I've done 2 dayers at Snetterton and passed 1 day but not the next

  6. If I remember my physics from 50 years ago, I guess, air density. Andy
