Are my wheels differant to normal 748's.

Hi.Just recently bought a 98 748.My rear wheel has Ducati Racing embossed around the hub.And there 3 spoke wheels.Thanks.Kev

No they are really early 748-9** items, the later ones do not have Ducati Racing cast into them. They are not sought after either despite being somewhat rarer. Probably only of use to someone who is undertaking an early very accurate restoration.

Plus they've been painted. The early ones were bronze coloured, like your frame.

I disagree on the sought after bit.
From what I've seen and heard the ones with the cast wording are a little more desirable than the plain ones.
They'd certainly be my choice if there were two side by side and the same price.
