mine arrives in may....going to view on 20th April at Pidcocks. looks great and fancy doing the TET on it
Always had a soft spot for a Elefant and may even buy one, once the pcp buyer have taken the hit for me in a few years time.
I was in Snells, Alton, on Saturday and asked when they might have a Desert X in for a butchers. They explained that as per El Ts post two of them are currently touring Ducati dealerships in the UK and that the one coming to them will be with them for 2 hours, yes just 2 hours, from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday the 11th May. After that the first bikes for customers will be with them probably in June. I might pop up for a look.
I'm a big fan, I think it's a much better market prop than a Multistrada enduro, and it does look like it's got the minerals!
Has anyone actually ridden one yet ? A friend has just texted me to say he has organised a test ride on Monday and I’ve been offered a test ride when my Multistrada gets new sprockets and chain on Tuesday. Andy
Didn't ride it, but sat on one at Snells the other day, they had 3 on site altogether. Felt quite small to me, that's my only comment. The sales guy said none of their customers had taken delivery yet. Liked the look of it though, really does still remind me of the Lucky strike desert racers of the 80/90's.
Can't justify it Andy, just felt very small, but I think it was possibly just narrow having just got off my 999 where my knees are outside the fairings.
I haven’t test ridden one yet but would like too. The tank is narrow for off road use and the seat height didn’t feel that tall to me. The suspension appears to be quite soft. It has had some very good reviews so far fir those wanting a genuine dual purpose bike.
