  4. Swept up some leaves in the garden, and walked the dogs this morning.
Just popped over to laguna Ashford as they have a Ducati open day with Josh Brooks attending. Entered the superlight into the sports category for best bike, but judging is at 2:30 and have a few family members coming to us at 3:30 and the Mrs was a bit panicky I wouldn't be home in time so left early., who knows what coukd have been!. I did say I could leave later and just ride faster......

  5. Dropped into Motolegends as I want a cooler jacket - what I wanted (the Klim one) just didn't fit (too big or too small... a bit like Goldilocks without a happy ending... yes I know!). Wallet is still heaving sighs of relief...! :joy:

  6. Had a gentle ride out to acclimatise to race shift. Didn't take long tbh and feels more natural. Jury is still out but i preferred up shifting like this. Just need to remember to shift up from neutral at lights.

  7. Really sorry to hear your awful news and that you now have to deal with the fall-out. Not a task that is easy at all to warm to. Good luck, I don't envy you at all.......

  8. Yesterday drove 1060 miles home from Toulouse, just wanted to get home. M25 at 9pm was a joke, why bother with a 4 lane motorway when people just use the outside 2?
M40 also rubbish with Pisa poor driving plus night time road works.
Today, washed and hoovered the car as it’s done just over 2000 miles in the last 9 days. Also washed the boys Mini Cooper

  9. I had to head north on the M40 around 5pm yesterday and have to say it is the worst stretch of motorway I've ever driven on for lane 3 idiots.

  10. Use it most weeks, it’s normally ok but weekends are terrible. I honestly believe that since Covid lockdowns people have forgotten how to drive. Driving in the middle lane at 68 mph refusing to use the FREE inside lane.

  11. Petrol stations and junctions/roundabout are the big risk factors. Be especially careful pulling into petrol stations, it’s easy to go the wrong way, get no drive and drop the bike at low speed.

Put a sticker on the clocks or yoke, somewhere obvious, RACE SHIFT

  12. You should have lied and said you'd a technical problem with the bike.

  14. Some people when asked about this are really indignant and aggressively shout

"If I'm doing 68mph, no one should be overtaking me anyway as thats the speed limit, so I'm not moving to an inside lane. Those lanes are full of lorries, and I shouldn't have to deal them..."

Sadly, they are mostly older blokes!

  15. Washed the bike and all my gear from the trip, as there’s no way I could sleep for the next few weeks, so far from home, knowing that those bugs are trespassing on my property!

  16. I wrote free inside lane meaning it’s free as in empty, not free as in costs nowt
70 is the limit so I’m going 2 miles an hour faster so they should bog off into the inside lane.
Quite why it was made illegal to hog the middle lane is beyond me as there no coppers policing the motorways, just speed cameras (Sorry safety cameras)

  17. I wholeheartedly agree with you, if that wasn't clear in my last post. TBH I don't support the traffic camera photo and fine approach, but its probably the only way to stop this happening. Provided that the offenders were given the option of a training course until they had be caught at least 3 times I'd be OK with it.

Since 2013 the non existent traffic police can give out £100 fixed penalty fines which also incur 3 points, but it doesn't seem to help.
