  1. I'm guessing the main difference is about £14k?!!!

  2. I’ve never owned a bike that gets quite so dirty in even a fairly light shower if rain.

  3. Ah , but it gives you a great excuse to wash it , check it and also have a few nice cold beers

  4. I gave mine a good wash yesterday, and other than the huge void where the headers are, the rest of the bike is quite easy to clean.

I just need some longer brushes to get in there, as the snow foam/ jet wash didn’t quite get everything clean in there, so if anyone has any pointers, let me know.

  5. I’ve the same routine for years, albeit slightly anal!

1st step, decent speakers in the garage, mine are Mission usually with Absolute Classic Rock channel on.

2nd step, degrease, then rinse, then snow foam. Leave for 5 minutes.

Then rinse again, then decent shampoo using a good lambswool wash mit in a bucket with a grit guard.

Rinse and dry with a blower. No wash leathers here!

Once dry move into garage and retire with beverage of choice to admire your handiwork.

At this point I usually leave the bike for the day and start polishing the following day. Microfibre cloth, either a decent polymer aerosol polish or once a month, a really good carnuba wax.

A this point, make yourself a decent brew, either Yorkshire or Betty’s. Proper mug too, treat yourself.

  6. Whilst I like a nice clean bike I can't be arsed with all that these days

Would rather be out riding one of the bikes.

First ride out today. Approximately 200miles and could have just carried on an on and on.
Initial thoughts, suspension is sublime, handling perfect for our roads. Seating perhaps a tiny bit firm but no issue, screen superb and the technology including connect worked seamlessly.
Brakes took 50m to bed in and whilst running in economy was fine.
One concern, let go of bars at 50 and they wobble/ shimmy. I know the answer is don’t let go but what’s others experience??

  10. Never had an issue with mine wobbling. Easy enough to put cruise on and take both hands off the bars for me.

  11. I’ll try that. But of course that’s under power rather than decelerating.

  12. In Spain had a constant speed wobble at around 125/130 but put this down to the bag on back , need to run it longways rather than across as it caught the wind . Luggage off no issues at higher speeds and steady up to the high 150 . Bag was a 260 dry bag .

  14. Out of interest has anyone had there’s delivered with the traditional service book for stamping? I have the owner manual but nothing else and wondered if they’d gone electronic?

  16. Well after a week thrashing around the Spanish mountains all I can say is what a bike. All I need bar a bit more torque .
Super comfort all day 300 plus miles of mountain passes, excels all situations. Glad I did not go on the PP as would have run out of rubber on the Rosso 4, just managed the trip 2K on the Conti TA3. This bike just works . The chassis and suspension is perfect for the technical twistys and hard corners, well done Ducati , you answered what was lacking on the 1250 Gs
(aprt form the torque lol )

  17. Just noticed after 7000 miles that my seat is adjustable by 20mm. In the lower position my feet are flat on the ground (5ft 10)

  18. And the rear can move back and forth too
