I tested the hold whilst the pressure switch was off too, not that either! I’m sticking with something to do with cruise.
Found that as well with the Evo levers , on the clutch side a grinder and files were used to reshape the edges , now perfect, I like the way they adjust on the fly just a pity from new they’re sharp edged .
It may be the release for the Hill Hold. HH is, or should be, capable of being released by 2 quick, short, pulls on the front brake lever, a double tap if you like. As mine used to work in that fashion but now no longer does, just have to give more revs to overcome it, I’m going to investigate this second switch further
just a thought…….. If a manufacturers approved operational design that’s fitted within the braking system construction no longer works would that constitute an MOT failure ? Certainly ABS fitted and not working is a failure etc. However if it’s removed it can’t be a failure.
Now done 500 miles on the bike and what a machine. For anyone currently waiting and having second thoughts - wait it out. It’s worth it. The best bike I’ve ridden. The only thing I can fault is the handlebars/top yoke aren’t black and the plastic trim around the fuel cap is raised on one side - has anyone else had this? I took it in to get ceramic coated the other day and it really makes the paint pop and is now a dream to clean. The guy did a YouTube video on it if anyone is interested;
Mine also raised, tank has warped in heat & the keyless fuel cap stopped working - now replaced, waiting on a tank replacement under warranty.
Thanks guys. Do you mean your aluminium tank was warped from the heat or just the plastic trim was warped?
Plastic trim. I noticed it when I got back from Italy (it was 42 degrees one day), mentioned it to the dealer, and they said they’d had another do the same.
Be interesting to see how they stop that reoccurring, every year , a material change maybe ? Possibly a small parasol that pops up at a certain temperature
Thanks for the link. I adjusted mine and it has made a big difference; not perfect , but the gaps are hardly noticeable
