I'm looking for advice on whether the heat shields referred to in the link below actually do reduce the heat transferred to Panigale V-twin riders, which can make riding the bike quite uncomfortable at times and particularly at low speeds or in traffic. First-hand experience would be useful, but any opinions are welcome. https://www.rsrmoto.com/ducati-1199-1299-panigale-under-seat-heat-shield-kit/ . Thanks in advance. Tom.
I fitted it on mine, along with numerous other things. Its tempered it a bit. I DE Golded everywhere else, inc under tank, seat, heat shield, subframe covers, etc.
I've got a set on my Pani V4, which IMO is on another level of heat to the 1199 I had, has made a noticeable difference.. I purposefully went out and did a load of town riding on a summer afternoon and whilst still on the warm side it's defo made a big difference and no longer uncomfortable when caught in traffic/town speeds.
