Mt940b1

  1. Managed to get a Marelli MT940B1 dash (CS-600 kit) installed today, upon turning the bike on, wry thing appears to be ok other than no rpm figure is displayed, I've not tried riding the bike yet so not sure if speed will be showing correctly either as its showing '5' at standstill.

Anyone with this dash installed, does the rpm and speed need configuring, does anyone happen to have a copy of their settings for rpm and speed.

The opening screen shows 'Ducati DL2.9) then 'NOTPRO'...

    Thanks

  2. Don't own one of these but found some info for you. DL and a number is the software version in the dash. Should show for a second or 2 at power on.

Yes the rpm does need programming hence the NOTPRO as do speed i beleive. You need to tell it the number of sensor pulses per engine rev and number of wheel sensor pulses per km/mile for speed.

  3. Cheers spoonz that's really helpful! How on earth do you work out pulses per km/mile, maths is never my strong point! Thanks again really appreciated!

  4. Start with a figure, ride with a GPS with speed reading, then adjust to correct speed.

  5. At a guess

I pulse per revolution so measure distance traveled for 1 total rev of the wheel with the pickup on it and divide by 1km or mile.

so say it travels 4 metres for 1 rev - 1609.344 (1 mile in metres) divided by 4 = 402.3

  6. This any good ?
