Sfv4 Electronic Cruise Control

  1. Ducati should have fitted an electronic cruise control to the SFV4. Many of the direct competition have it (1290 Super Duke, MT-10, Tuono 1100 eg.). All my other bikes except my old Gixxer and dual sports have it and I quite like it. I use it a lot. I realize that it's not on everyone's wish list and many riders for many reasons don't/wouldn't use it.

My 2015 FJ-09 did not have it. I fitted an aftermarket system from MC Cruise (https://www.mccruise.com/. It works just like a factory cruise control. Installation was straightforward. The install instructions are outstanding! Extremely detailed with color photos. It was fun to install. Bikes like the FJ and SFV4 with RBW throttles do not require a servo.

I contacted them in August 2021 to see if a system was in the works for the SFV4. They have an offer of a bike to develop a kit, but at that time they did not know when they could get to it.

Perhaps if they received enough inquires from owners expressing interest in the kit, they might move the development higher in the stack.
