Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by domRusty, Jul 29, 2013.

  1. I've booked Donington with NoLimits on the 5th, staying Sunday night in the Premier Inn at East Mids airport. Anyone else gonna be there?

    cheers,
    Dom

  2. I would love to be up there Dom. Cant afford it after my rebuild :frown:

  3. Be there on the first will that do ?

  5. Not quite the answer I was looking for...

    Almost. But not quite.

Have a great time on Thursday!

  6. When do you reckon you might be back on track Matt? Bike's looking good... :upyeah:

  7. Thanks mate you too.lol

  8. I've got the Ducati day booked in September at Brands. I may try to get out before that, but my off has dented my confidence a little, which is to be expected. Having the other bike nicked hasn't helped either, as I would happily have taken that around the track too.
I think Im going to avoid the Bike Reclaim days from now on thou. I think I grown out of them a little and the groups aren't clearly defined anymore. We shall see, there's still a good few months of 'summer' left

  13. Sorry mate only just read this.think you were in the garage next to us! Was with three mates v4 factory,749r,gsxr1000 and me on v4 tuono.

  14. I think so I was in garage 7, rsv4 ,848,rsvr,r1, zx6r track bike and my 1199. Good day , just trying to get back into track days again after a few years off after buggering myself up on one in spain. AC

  15. Yeh we were in six.test day for me before almeria in September.bike went well no real issues, one squeaky bum moment coming out of the old hairpin, back end stepped out, not sure if traction control helped me but glad it's on there.shame about all the red flags, needs to be managed better IMO.foreign track days are definately better, less Rossi wannabes throwing themselves in the gravel!

  16. I didn't see your bike Dom? Didn't you make it??

  17. Nope - had a bit of a mare of a weekend (busy family wedding stuff) and couldn't come up Sunday night as planned, then got up 5am this morning to absolutely pouring rain and an unpromising forecast for the day so I bottled out...

You're going to tell me now it was dry all day and you had a brilliant time? Not that I would begrudge you that of course. Just a bit gutted to miss out... Looked from here like it was going to be a foul day.

    So how was it?!

    cheers,
    Dom

  18. Ah that's a shame, and as you guessed it was a great day..... Damp 1st session On wets then onto dry tyres for the rest of the day
:) Didn't rain again until I put bike back on the trailer.

New PB for me today and scraped both knees for the first time so having a beer to celebrate (it's a good a reason I have tonight!)

  19. Not both at once I hope?

Glad you had a good time! But I'm going to forget I read this...

    cheers,
    Dom

  20. A fair few didn't turn up today to be honest. The plus of that meant it was a 3 group day instead of 4! Only approx 20 riders in the fast group minus the fallers....

Ps. Not both knees today thankfully!
