my 999s is in winter storage on trickle charger, started up today and the engine management light is on(engine running smooth) rear indicators wont work, front indicators are flashing intensive, any advice?
If the management light remains on with ignition. Then switch off, hold down left dash button, turn on ignition, keep button held down until dash displays fault code numbers in format ##.# Post code or codes here.
https://www.ducati.community/threads/fault-codes.25005/ Read https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/fault-code-2-1-displayed-on-dash.48170/ The indicators could just be coincidental. Try cleaning the bullet connectors for the rear indicators onto the loom. The fast flashing is because the rear ones are not working.
Seem to remember the rears do not use bullet connectors like the fronts. The wiring diagram is at the end of the owners manual https://ownersmanuals2.com/d/61984 The wires to the rear light unit pass through a tube bolted to the exhaust. On the right of the bike near the rear brake cylinder is a 5 way Superseal connector. Make sure the terminals are clean. The rear light/indicator unit is quickly removed and there is a grey plug that goes into the rear. Again check the terminals are clean.
Thank you Chris, much appreciate your help, will try to sort it out next weekend will let you know the outcome
