Ok people after a bit of advice… I have a 959 with Akra slip on underslung silencers (not full system), does it need an Upmap and “performance” air filter? Or will standard map and air filter suffice? Also any way of telling if it’s already been upmapped without having it plugged in?
Yeah it will say Race briefly when you turn it on. It will not stay saying RACE. But if you didn’t notice it I suspect it’s not been done.
Slip on is EU4 compliant and is not supplied with an Upmap. A performance air filter, whilst a nice to have, is not required. Andy
Mines had the evo2 software upgrade and it does say something cool when I power it up. I can’t remember exactly but it’s something like ‘let’s go fucking mental’ I think. Probably.
I hate to be the one to tell you FC, you haven’t got a Panigale 959 like the OP and it’s nothing like your Panigale V4 except both bikes having 2 wheels Andy
So…. just had a check of dash when keyed on, and yes, it reads RACE briefly. Never noticed it before, not had it that long though. See pic. Is that the same as yours Towser??
It’s got under slung belly pipes yeah? Not the shotgun side mounted pipes? So yes it’s been mapped and should have the updated air filter as supplied in the kit.
Yeah it’s got Akra underslungs, nice to know it’s been mapped for them. I’ve got the fairing and front light off at mo and can see it’s still got a paper air filter, with a load of crispy insects embedded in it, so that could do with changing!
