What music are you listening to ?

was never big on L.Z. mainly due to (controversial..) that wailing noise that accompanied a lot of the songs? - I nearly took a record back once as a result, but they did crank some good stuff out on occasion, have to say.

 

I’ll let my Mrs know, she won’t have RP criticised at all nor ‘The Zep’. I once suggested that there were a lot of hits that were ripped from other artists, it was a long and frosty night.

I've been revisiting all of my older Metallica albums and getting more familiar with Pantera in anticipation of their tour. I have tickets to see them in August. Seeing Metallica live has been on my bucket list for 20+ years. Would have been cool to see them with Iron Maiden but I suppose Pantera will do

 

They put on a great show, seen them on their Master of Puppets remastered tour at the NEC. To think BITD I turned down watching them after travelling to pick up a mates mate who was touring with them in Danzig. We went clubbing instead.

Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I and my lad did, his first concert.

I was told, a few years back now, he was performing at a theatre near me in Pontardawe. Like the knob that I am, I didn’t bother to go, now gutted I didn’t go

Yes, his version is a cover with a lot of freelancing/jamming through it through it. However not withstanding that fact it’s an epic tune to learn IMO.

 

Didn't make that mistake but did miss a few opportunities to see Joe Bonamassa at a local club for around a fiver when he was first starting up...

 

I’m sure we’ve all been there, a few times I’ve been offered free tickets to see bands and not gone. Only for a critical band member to die shortly after 2 stand outs were Thin Lizzy and Joe Strummer and the Mescalero’s. It’s a guilt I have to bear, invariably I don’t turn them down these days……

 

..but ironically fewer offers come? - hence that term, he who pontificates etc. It's happened to us all N, there is no way of knowing which method will tick all the boxes, in all of the colours.

 

They do now, my friends fear me turning down an offer…..
