So I have a 2017 1299S.. only used on track. For some time now I've been having issues with it misfiring mid corner.. which isn't great as it feels.like it's trying to buck me off.. Seems to be just as I'm feeding in power coming out of the corners, and seems to be when fuel is maybe half full or less. Being a track bike the lean angle sensor is mounted differently, but I've checked this and its bang on where it needs to be...and lean angle reads 0 deg when bike is upright.. So I've booked it in to local bike shop (owner used to race) for oil and filter change, gonna get him to do plugs as well.. and fuel filter.. But has anyone else had similar issues?.. I suspect it may only happen on track as it does seem to be at extreme lean angles..
Mine seems strange, can do first couple of sessions fine.. then it starts.. I've got it linked to amount of fuel in tank in my head
Hiya !! Hope you had a great day.. yeah i hope so.. I'm there again on 23/10 and very likey 1 more before then.. I'll see what the local shop says.. he used to be a Spanish club racer.. so sympathetic, unfortunately the only real Ducati race specialist in this part of Spain shut up shop 2 weeks ago.. so I'm stuffed.. hopefully someone here will have some pointers. You there for 4 days ?.. your times should tumble.. lots of time can be made up on turn 1 and turn 2.. 2-3 and 7-8, theyre a lot faster than you think... watch the simon crafar track guide, it helped me a lot when I was stuck at 1.55's for ages.
Does your bike have a cut out switch for when it falls over? If that is not fixed in the upright position it could cause a problem.
Don't all bikes have a cut out switch for when you crash? Its always the same.. First few sessions on track its fine.. then towards lunch it starts playing up
Another dumb suggestions probably, but sidestand switch ? I know most people take these off when they're tracked but.....
