My 2018 Monster 821 started displaying bad misfiring and juddering issues and upon disabling the QS setting it cured the problem. I took it to Ducati dealer and had them check it over and they confirmed the QS was faulty and gave me a quote to supply, fit and “recode” the bike to accept the new QS. I was wondering if the recoding is necessary as it came fitted with a factory QS thus has the option already enabled? Doesn’t seem like a hard job to do and would rather save some cash and hassle and do it myself as currently can’t ride after a shoulder op.
I bought one, enabled it myself with my own diagnostics machine and never had a problem. As yours is already enabled, shouldn’t need re doing unless the dealer has been sneaky and disabled it while it’s been in.
