V4 Pikes Peak

  1. Check the Ducati website - all Multistradas get 4 year warranty.
    https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/service-maintenance/ducati-warranty/four-ever-ducati
This might be UK specific - hence why you might see other warranty details mentioned.

Did anyone else order these from Calsport? I know Multirider 75 did and already has them. Mine have still not turned up - 4 months now. Calsport seemed surprised when I said forum members orders had already been delivered. I've never used Calsport before, I'm beginning to wonder if they have any intension of fulfilling the order.

  3. Wow!

  4. Looking forward to it! V4S was brilliant… but not as engaging as the PP over the North York Moors today… even at sub 6/7k rpm. Outright grip and turn in is another level again. Roll on 1st service.

  5. The seat height on the PP is listed the same as the V4s. I sat on a second hand PP in the Harley dealer in Glasgow. (on ebay £22995). My feet were flat on the ground , On my V4s , they are not quite flat. I dont think it was a lowered seat . Anyone gone from a V4s to a pp and found the same ?

  6. I had the regular heated seat on my V4S and now also on my PP. I don’t think there’s a massive difference between the two. I think the only defining difference would be dependant on the rider/suspension mode you have set... Is difficult to draw a comparison on that as they are two very different suspension systems… ie sport mode on one bike may likely be a different seat height to the other - one system is Marzzochi Skyhook, the other is Ohlins EC2.

  7. RS tail on the PP

  8. Looks smart, wonder what the parts cost?

  9. If you get it from Vulture bike (ready painted) it's around £680. That's a no from me!

I have found the part numbers, but can't get prices. However, I imagine you can do it yourself for a lot less.

  10. I asked when I was at Chris Walkers for tyres, the parts showed as unavailable from the factory

  11. I'm finding the PP a pita to keep clean. Riding waterlogged roads covered in gravel and mud obviously doesn't help. But the bike seems designed to cover the back end with whatever you ride over. What I'm finding a real problem with is cleaning the black plastic bits and swing arm. The painted bits are OK. The black plastic and swing arm seem to hold mud and crud after being cleaned. Once they dry out they still look filthy. Anyone got any hints or tips to clean/ keep clean these bits?

  12. I use Oxford Mint General Protectant over most the bike after ever clean, helps keep the dirt off: Oxford Mint General Protectant 500ml : Oxford Products I spray over the plastic and engine parts, bolt heads etc...

  13. I applied a coat of Getechniq Exo ceramic coat with a coat of C2 all over - definitely helps keep it a bit cleaner but still wash it most times I’ve been out. Have also just finished applying a Tony James Designs ppf kit… Ball ache but done now. It’s a good kit, good fit and pretty reasonable. https://tonyjamesdesigns.com/product/multistrada-v4-pikes-peak-2022-on/

  14. I've got the Tony James ppf on mine too. Great kit but as you say a pain to apply. It's more the plastics at the back and the swing arm I'm having the biggest issue with. The finish Ducati have used is not user friendly. I'll have a look at the Oxford stuff and the ceramic coatings.
I'm not fastidious about bike cleaning, I just want it to actually look clean after I've washed it!

  15. I applied the Getechniq to the paintwork and all the black plastics and carbon. Dirt washes off easier and they stay blacker for longer… I don’t need to douse them with any black plastic shiny juice or GT85 either….

  16. A liberal spray of GT85 after washing will sort that. Just wipe it on.
