Well I topped up my coolant level on my 1199s. What’s the big deal you ask. Well those lovely Italian designers thought it was a good idea to have a black coolant bottle you can’t see the level and for added fun make the filler cap inaccessible to easily fill without stripping half the bike. I had to use what was available to me, a turkey Baster and tube to push coolant in. Pushing the tub into the coolant bottle to the level i wanted then fill. Sucking on it from time to time until I got to the right level. Fun times
As useful as they seem I've just got no shed/garage space to store one and besides where's the fun in doing it correct & in 5 seconds Although, having said that, I suspect you could still put the item in the wrong way round/upside down and get the cut wrong... doh!
I’m off this week, we are having a couple of nights in a luxury hotel as a pre-birthday celebration for my 60th. Yesterday I had a massage, dinner and a private showing of The Life of Brian. So far today, I’ve got up, eaten breakfast downstairs and await a ride into a local town. Probably a swim and lazy afternoon before tonights tasting menu and a flight of wines. Having lost my brother at 32 and mother at 59 I’m making the most of my time here. I’m doing 40 hours a month exercise, including HIIT, Yoga and cycling, swimming starts again this month.
Had my breakfast on the patio…….very sunny but still a bit nippy out. Later I’m off to Leeds for the day/evening
Put the batteries back on the boat and then made up a new charger lead for the optimate connectors I use.
Can’t say I’m very happy with this ID lark Seemingly not everyone in the country has a form of photo ID. Democracy should be fully inclusive.
Only a complete bungling idiot would turn up to vote without bringing photo ID. As Boris Johnson did today, predictably.
