  5. Just seen Capes had passed. A mighty man in more than just one way. True all round sportsman who was incredibly naturally strong and way faster than a man of his size should be. Grew up admiring him. RIP Geoff

    Worlds Strongest Man x 2, Olympian, Scottish Games and most importantly (to me as a kid) he pulled lorries wearing a harness and was on Superstars.

    He did more with and for music than anyone I’ve known or heard of.

  9. I like to think I know a bit about music. I knew Quincy Jones did a lot; I knew he was very good; but until I read the obituaries I simply didn't realise just how much he had done, over so many genres, for so long and just how brilliant he was. Musician, band leader, producer, composer; one of, if not the most influential person in modern popular music. RIP and thank you for some fantastic memories.
